After the introductory interest rate of 0% for 12 months is up your interest rate will range from 15.49% – 25.49%, based on your creditworthiness.  These rates are starting to get on the high side compared to other credit card companies.  Keep in mind these rates will vary base on the Prime Rate.

Are there any perks to having the Cash Plus Card?

This card offers a decent rewards program.

  • Earn 2% on one everyday category, like gas stations, grocery stores or restaurants
  • Earn 1% on all other eligible purchases (see terms and conditions for more details)

You can redeem your rewards as a statement credit, or as cash into a US bank account or as a gift card.

Plus, earn a $150 bonus after you apply online and spend $500 in eligible net purchases within the first 90 days of account opening.

Bottom Line:  Is the US Bank Cash Plus Visa Signature Card Good for Balance Transfers?

The balance transfer term of 12 months is not the best term in comparison to what other credit card companies are offering these days.  In fact this is below average in regards to the introductory term length.  Even if you have done the math to determine you could pay off your debt in 12 months we still wouldn't recommend this card, even for the rewards.  Just be aware, you will get hit with the balance transfer fee as soon as you transfer a balance in the introductory period.  There are other cards out there with longer terms and no introductory fees, see link below.  But we do like there is no penalty APR and no annual fee.  The rewards program is one of the better rewards programs we have seen.  But we still wouldn't recommend this card for balance transfers.
